This Motorola Startac functions normally with the following exceptions:

1. The unit will function normally with the lid closed as it would if it were open.

2. The momentary button on the top, when pushed, will call a telephone number that has been entered into it when it was previously turned on. The number will stay in memory even if the phone is turned off. Removing the battery will cause the phone to loose the phone number.

3. The microphone has been pre-amplified to allow the person who called to hear more easily.

4. If you are concerned about the phone ringing when it is called, turn off the ringer.

5. If you want the phone to answer automatically, turn the Auto Answer mode on.

6. The phone will stay offhook as long as the person on the other end keeps the call active. It will automatically hang up when the other party hangs up.

7. If you are concerned about the person wearing the phone hearing conversations on the other end, reduce the volume to a minimum.
